K-619 DR.HANS HAVLICEK Commemorative Medallion, 1944, Cast AE, 96.8mm, Wt. 209.9g, Edge Incuse punch, UNC.
Surgeon and researcher of blood circulation. Born May1, 1891 in Komotau, died May 13, 1949 in Wetzlar. He discovered the blood vessel connections between the end fields of arteries and veins. Through his discovery he contributed prominently to the avoidance of post-operative thrombosis.
Obverse: Bust ¾ right
Reverse: Central Ram with running men.
Can anyone help with the German translation on this one?
