2005 Topps Heritage Tino Martinez

Did anybody get this card. My wife loves Tino but I can't find one auction of the card on eBay, let alone a photo of the card. My wife would really like to see what the card looks like, Tino 1956 style.

Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!
  • Seriously, does anyone know why Tino is not in the set?

Is he still playing? Oh, that's right, he's in Tampa Bay. I don't know any particular reason why he'd be left out, but the set only has 440-odd player cards. Either they didn't think he warranted a card, or they just messed up. There are 750 guys on MLB rosters at any given time, plus the rookies they put in there. They also left out Grady Sizemore, which disappointed me. Frank Thomas isn't in 2002 Finest or something like that, which I thought was odd, even in a 100-card set. He's definitely one of the 100 biggest names. Ozzie Smith wasn't in 1993 Fleer because they just missed him, and they put him in the update.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay
  • Thanks, helionaut. My man Tino is back on the Yankees. The Yankees should never have let him go in lieu of Giambi in the first place. Now he will retire as a Yankee. Tino was contemplating retirement, and the only team he would play for is the Yankees. Maybe Topps thought he was retiring.

By the way, Helionaut, Grady Sizemore is card #264 in this year's Topps Heritage.

    JonMac-

I recommend that you stop spamming threads. I realize that you're just trying to make a living and whatnot, but you're coming off as a douchebag. People come here to talk about cards. When we want to buy them or other memorabilia, we tend to hit up ebay. If you have a Tino Martinez ball to sell, that would be the best place to peddle it.
