Snipe Services- Which do you like?

I know there are some people that do not like snipe services so you can ignore this post. To those that do their own "sniping" by watching their auctions to the end... I am impressed! To those that do use snipe services which do you like best? I have been using bidnapper the last year and really like it but just curious if anybody likes other snipers better? They want about $46/year at bidnapper. I look forward to your choices. Thanks.

  • Hi Larry! I'm a newbie on the boards but have been reading for about a month.
Lots of great information and here's my 2 cents.
I have recently started using snipe bids (tired of getting beat by 50 cents) by justsnipe. It's free if you snipe 5 or less a week or $5 a month unlimited. As long as I did my part, have not lost yet!
  • Auctionsniper. Hasn't missfired yet. image
  • If I can't do it myself it ain't worth sniping..

  • justsnipe. has not failed yet, and i'm 5 for 5 on winning all auctions I "snipe" often well under my max. Its free (one free a week with a cumulating balance). Once you snipe, you will not go back to looking at your watch, timing ebays clocks with yours, and hoping your connection or computer doesn't fart. For auctions you MUST win, it is the only way to go.

Bid $100,000 on every auction and you will not have to worry about losing too many auctions!!!

  • I also like Justsnipe, when I'm not gonna be awake or am off at work.
The 5 free snipes a week, they give you free, are plenty for me.

Do you understand how the proxy system works?? Highest bid wins, no matter when it was placed. Sniping really does not save buyers money unless they are bidding against a nibbler. A true sniper bids his max everytime and only does so one time. Those who bid 4 or 5 times at the end are not true snipers they are nibblers.

i completely understand how the proxy system works but you're not factoring in the human nature factor. You can tell yourself that $100 is all you're spending on a certain card, but when that card is at $102.50 with five minutes left, most people think, "what's five more bucks" and bid again. Now you can all say you don't do that but the fact is MOST people do. So by using a sniper service, you get your bid in at $102.50 and at the same time not giving that person the chance to add $5.00 more.

Plus, auctions are also about winning and there is a competition factor involved. If I put in my max bid with three days left on an auction, even if it's for a dog turd, someone is going to outbid me. It just always happens.

I don't know why I would try to sway anyone's opinion on this matter, I'd prefer you didn't use any sniper services. But IMO, they work and will ultimately save you a few bucks.

Not when I can hit a one to 2 second bid nearly every time I manually snipe. Sniping services take the fun out of it.

  • I use yomamasnipe.com.
Hasn't missed yet. Even if I get outsniped, the snipe service
goes after the winner and beats the crap out of him. I win everytime.
