    Proba = proof
    Country = Poland
    Value = 100 zloty (ZL = zloty)

    Metal content/type = ??

    Someone else should be along......

    The Polish mint has struck probas (also known as essai in other cases) for collectors. This one is 100 Zlotych, silver, KM Pr-489, valued at $35.

    << <i>Proba = proof >>

    Just a small correction. Proba literally means trial or try in Polish and all Slavic languages. It does not specifically relate to proof strikes.

    Thanks Mac and Philip,

    I did not have a Polish coin in my Bear Coin List (Added this one). image

    If it does not get too high, I will probably go after it.

    Over the last few months I have not added much to my list or collection,
    although I did complete my Panda's.

    Thanks again,

    Larry

    If you are going after it I shall abstain from bidding. I have a fondness for Polish Coins myself. They are not real common on Ebay but do show up from time to time.

    Good luck with your collection.
