Can AT coins ever look original again?

If possible are there any ways to speed up the process?
Are there certain AT'ing methods used that will never be reversable?
I have a few that are questionable and I thought I would just stick them in a album and leave them there for a couple years to see what happens.

Can it ever look normal again? Sure, wear it down as a pocket piece and eventually the surfaces will change. Otherwise I don't think an AT coin will have a "normal" look until the chemical process has changed it to black.

Sure, just get PCGS or NGC to slab them.
