  • I saw a nicely toned '38 dollar there. Too bad I couldn't have that.

When the set is nearer completion, Phil, I might wanna have you image Victoria's 1901 Victorian type set for me. Did you shoot pics of Dimitri's 1901 ex-Terner MS64 half-sovereign? I think he posted pics of that. How about the 1901 toned Maundy set? That's mine, too, or will be when our swap is consummated.

Guess I'll hafta lure you down to Dixie sometime. image

Actually, Phil missed the 1901 set as it was slabbed. It was a set bought from greattoning, but I haven't saved his pictures either. They weren't exactly super-accurate anyway... image He did take some nice photos of a raw 1900 maundy set though.

Rob, here's the photo of the Terner half sov.

The coin looks much better in hand, don't forget it was in a PCGS slab, that for some reason gave the biggest trouble to Phil. Here's what my raw 1901 half sov looks like, and I'd grade it MS63.

Nice toner Phil, I suggest that you take as many coin photos as you can before you leave Canada, maybe even postpone your departure for a little while if it's feasable. I'm happy to see all these new opportunities for you and I'm even happier to have caught you on your way up. image

  • Thanks, dimitri. But I don't think I'll be postponing anything right now.
  • Well it turns out they can't get the coins to me before I leave so I can't do any work for them. To be honest it's not big deal because I don't think they were going to pay me very much, but at least now I'll have a pic in the canadian coin news.
