Very old copper coins, please help.

Could someone please help me with those two coins. I have no idea what this could be. A coin dealer told me it is 15th cent. spanish, the next dealer told me it is 18th cent. New England...... However, the size is around the same like a US quarter, both coins are copper. Thanks a lot for your help.

The first one looks too uniform an octagon to be more than a couple decades old at most in my opinion.

I tried to Photoshop them to no avail. But, If you get discouraged with them, PM me and i would be interested in maybe trying to buy them if you decide to part with them........
