From the Charlton Catalogue of Hockey Cards.

It is a 22 cards set. These " Glossy Inserts " as they are also called were randomly inserted in the 1976-77 regular issue wax packs. The cards measure 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 .

The set which includes Orr ( as a Blackhawk ), Dryden, Lafleur, Dionne, Park, Trottier ( his rookie year ) has a value of $ 75 in NM-MT condition.

Hope this helps, it's all i've got.

According to the big B book....

    1977/78 Topps/O-Pee-Chee Glossy

This set of 22 numbered cards was issued with either square or round corners as an insert with both the Topps and O-Pee-Chee hockey cards of 1977-78. Cards were numbered on the back and measure 2-1/4" by 3-1/4". They are essentially the same as the O-Pee-Chee insert issue of the same year. The O-Pee-Chee inserts have the same card numbers and pictures, same values, but different copyright lines on the reverse. Square corner cards add 10% over round corner prices.

    Complete set (22 cards) $15.00 Nrmt-Mt.

    Dryden $4.00
Cheevers, Clarke, Dionne, Potvin & Robinson $1.50 each
    commons .11-.18 cents

    Hope that helps, Bob

I came across 4 complete sets. All really nice. I'm going to send 1 set in to get graded.

Love the Dionne card if anyone has the skill try posting it here for all of us to see. If memmory serves me correct the card is after a fight and Dionne is all mashed up.
love to buy sell or trade graded hockey stars only, please to meet you and happy collecting

I got a square-corner set a few months ago on eBay, but every card in the set was a miscut, showing part of the next card on the edge. Anyone know how common this is? Would they get and MC qualifier if graded?

Here's the Rogie Vachon, illustrating two things:

    1) You can see on the right and bottom where it was miscut.

    2) The Rogie rocks! image

The 76-77 set is much tougher than the 1977-78 set.

Its a real nice set. I'm sending in 2 set for grading. Worst comes to worse I'll have 2 completed registry sets.
