Should I try to chew the 1977 gum from a basketball pack I just opened? Vote now.

I just opened a 1977 Topps Basketball wax pack. The gum is in one piece. Should I try to chew it? Vote yes or no. The first to reach 10 votes will win.

By the way, not a bad pack. I got a Moses Malone, George McGinnis and Earl Monroe. All would get a oc qualifer though except maybe the Monroe which is off center but may not be enough for the qualifer.

Sorry but I had to go with the first vote and CHEW AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! YECH.......It was very hard and then crumbled into dust. Its amazing, you know how it is going to taste yet you do it anyway. YECH.........I can't wait to buy more unopened 1970's packs.

Bob, if the gum looks fresh -- go for it. I revisited my youth with some gum from a 1982 pack about a year ago. It was just one of those things I had to do. Besides, it made my wife feel good to tell me I'm crazy, like she hasn't done that a thousand times before.
