Caesar's Palace selling a Caesar coin/necklace

I was watching the TV show "Caesar's 24/7" on Monday, and on it a high roller purchased a necklace that featured a supposedly 2,000 year old coin with Julius Caesar's likeness on it. The necklace cost $10,000. The coin, from what they showed of it, looked nice and bright, but they didn't give the camera good look at it.

Does anyone have any idea what this coin might have been, and how much would it be worth assuming at least average condition?

There were coins issued with a bust of Caesar on them, if as I assume, we are talking about Julius Caesar here they are quite costly. Coins of the later Caesars (Augustus to Domitian) are not worth as much as a general rule.

  • Realistically, the coin was probably worth closer to 2k or so.
