SSP: Last couple of days on ebay

There are several items still for sale (including the 1869 penny, which has over 500 hits and a LOT of watches) and some items for bid. There are no bids, even on the £1 starter.

If I pay £105,000 will you deliver to my flat in Knightsbridge? I could have Richard Branson pick you up in the Virgin limo. image

Because ebay uk has a 4p listing day today. US ebay prices are regular prices. No sense in wasting more money than necessary.

In a way, Spinaker, you're right.

I've already received one question from an ebay member, something to the effect of "that coin is worth no more than £2,000." I expect more of the same.

There was a thread a while ago on describing a similar auction, so I was inspired by that idea. At 181 hits on the auction already, it has certainly caused the desired consternation! There are more than a few "watchers" too!image

Because if someone wants it badly enough and will pay the price, I'm willing to part with it.

If I buy the coin will you publically post, with proof, your age? I've never seen a 19th Century birth certificate.

A question from another ebay user:

"Does this coin come with a small house? If I were to buy it my wife would promptly throw me out and I would need a place for my 1869 Penny and I to live."

Small house? Heck, for that you can buy a fair size house here.

    Wybrit's response to my question:

"I can ship the coin to you in a large cardboard box that act as a surrogate home until you find better accomodations."

I would need enough room for myself, the 1869 Penny and a computer. I would need a box that is wired to support high speed internet service.
