Is it just me, or have the grading services been more lenient with...

..Indian head cents in MS65 / 66????
I have been looking for a nice IHC type coin in 65 or 66 red, but the coins I am seeing have carbon spots, gashes, hits on the cheek, finger prints! And these are the supposedly PQ ones. Anyone else notice this lately?

You're right on the mark Bustman. Today's 66's have either hacks, spots, or off-color. One of the three usually. You'll have to find an old holdered 65RD to satisfy you. Believe it or not I picked one of those (old NGC holder) off ebay 6 months ago for about $360. I flipped it for $525 and I'm sure the dealer I sold it to was thinking crack out 66. You'd have loved it. They're out there. A friend of mine had an NGC MS66 RD that was not as nice and he just recently sold it for $1000 after a year or more of trying.
