Ok why is this a PSA 9? To me this card looks like a 10. If you cant tell from the scan the edges are all clean, corners are perfect and finish is spotless. No under surface wrinkles etc.
Now granted im still learning this stuff but i cant see whats wrong with this card.

    PSA definition Mint 9-
    A PSA Mint 9 is a superb condition card that exhibits only one of the following minor flaws: a very slight wax stain on reverse, a minor printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Centering must be approximately 60/40 to 65/35 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the reverse.


    Tia, I'm guessing that little white speck below the k in Aikman is all
    that kept this one from being a 10. I f the speck is on the holder and not the card then you may need to inspect the corners and edges with a loupe. Upon doing this you may find the answer.

    Great card no matter what number is on the holder.

    Just guesses:

    Bottom corners are not as sharp as the top ones.

    Left edge is a bit worn, can tell when comparing it with the right.

    Back is slightly off center although I don't think that would affect the grade.

    the white speck below the name is from the scanner.
    edges are sharp and clean.
    Could be the centering on the back of the card that ajmoeller81 mentioned. But, I measured it and it was within PSA 10 specs.

    Maybe i should resubmit. The SMR diff from a 9 to a 10 is 10 fold.

    The back centering is well within PSA 10 guidelines, but the edges around both bottom corners seem to have the slightest touch of white showing. I'd recommend you get out your loupe, or scan in high resolution, and study carefully.

    It looks like there are three chips along the right border (maybe 4).

    It's definitely the teeth! If he had just used a whitening toothpaste - "Zoom" - a 10!

    Those "chips" are not on the real card. Just the scan. same with the lower corners.

    EDIT: **removing the card in question from my sig line as its too big for other threads**
