What was the Goldberg's relationship to Superior Galleries in the past?

I think that the Goldbergs owned Superior Galleries in the past. Is that true? If so, who purchased the company and when? If the Goldbergs were the former owners, was there any non-compete period? It seems that the Goldbergs are doing better (at least looking at their recent catalog), while I can never get excited about Superior's offerings. Does anyone know the background on this relationship?

Yes, at one time the Goldbergs did own Superior, but I can't give you dates and I don't know who bought it from them. Ownership of the various firms has never really been an important thing to me.
