Question about the Baltimore Coin Show in March

I know that there are a few Baltimore coin shows during the year. Is the March one usually well attended? Also, is it just a "bourse-type" show, or are there other activities, such as lectures, etc. It's about a 4 hour drive for me, so I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the quality of the show. Also, are any other forum members attending?

Baltimore is considered one of the major shows each year. There is a large bourse and generally a number of significant auctions. Generally there are some YN activities as well. Look for a thread among the members here to get together for lunch, dinner ... etc. I plan to go as I live in the general area. It is certainly worth going to if you have the time. All the major dealers will be there.

The Baltimore show is three times a year. The spring (March) and winter (December) shows are well attended with several hundred dealers and thousands of visitors. I don't believe however that there is much in the way of lectures, etc. There are usually several auctions. The summer show (July last year and August this year) is new and as such not quite as well attended. There are typically a number of board members present at the show. Maybe cloose to two dozen counting the dealers, the locals and those that travel to the show. It is a great show!

If you're looking for a place to stay, there is a Days Inn right across the street from the convention center. Someone will be posting a thread either here or on the Open Forum about lunch or supper. We usually have a decent crowd go to lunch each day. I've been trying to get a good size dinner party for Friday or Saturday but have not been that successfull. Maybe this year will be different.
