Well, I found 2 boxes of Topps Heritage at my local Walmart. (24 pack boxes)
Breakdown is as follows:
Box 1
14 SP's
3 Chromes
1 Refractor
1 Then and Now
2 New Age Performers
2 Flashbacks
Box 2
16 SP's
4 Chromes
1 Refractor
1 Then and Now
2 New Age Performers
2 Flashbacks
NO Autographs, NO Black Refractors, NO Relic cards....blaaach. Not even an SP/pack. From this experience, not any better...I'll probably go buy another couple boxes of Hobby now to see if I can feel better about this 155.00

Good luck on your search!

I still see the Bowman Heritage 4x6 boxes and I imagine that at some point the Topps Heritage will be there too. I purchased the 2 rows of 12 boxes at Walmart last year too.
I will continue to keep my eyes open...and I have another walmart fairly close by that I will check tomorrow evening.

1. 2005 Topps Heritage Bob Feller Red Real One Auto 40/56 - closed at $88.77
2. 2005 Topps Heritage AUTO Yogi Berra 1 in 333 Packs - auction hyped by the odds and closed at $76.99!
IMO, that's too high to pay for Yogi in blue...in red yes.
3. TOPPS HERITAGE 2005 BASEBALL CHROME SET (110) BONDS - closed at $361 - actually not a bad price to pay!
4. This year Master Sets are closing "cheaper" than last early on - I saw guys sell them in the 400+ range last year - this year they are closing on average of around 300+
318, 345, 300, 313, 328, 340, 304 and $305.
Not sure what that means? We'll just have to see what it books at? My guess? about 400$ for a complete set - not including the subs. Now, this may be a reflection of the prospects compared to last year also.

<< <i>sets are much easier to put together than in the past especially last year, but what is the light backs going to do with the prices??
Kevin >>
Great question!
It would be too easy to say this is nothing more than the printer changing the stock - like he ran out? If Topps planned this - then there will be a scramble by some to have a Master 'master' set! Then the race is on to find all the variants for your set!
Has anyone read anything over at Beckett?
Might not be a bad idea to contact Topps? Even if they say it's an inadvertant variation, people are going to want the others IMO.

PS: if Yankeeno7 found TH in the NE, expect the supply train to hit over the next two days!
You guys are awesome. I haven't done heritage since 01 and looking to jump in this year to match with my 56's. But Id really like to know the scoop with the whites. My 56 I have all the whites from 100-180 which are the toughies. Im just wondering if they made less of the #'s 100-180 in white. In anycase I'll probably dive in when they hit wallyworld. I pulled out my 01's last week in all the hooplaaaa.
In any event thanks for all the great info.

Ya might wanna check out the thread below on the "light backs" - the numbers seem to be all over the board!
If I have to chase that many down - I might run out of gas or money!

Overall...a really good box! And, yes, those chromes will have a nice home here in sunny San Antonio!
I promise to feed them, give them love and encouragement and never over-criticize them for not playing nice with each other!
12 SP's unless the sosa I have is one also.
3 chromes
1 refractor
2 flashback
2 Then and Now
1 New Age
48 Light backs.
