Kennedy Half Dollar varieties

I stopped at the bank on Saturday and asked if they had any rolls of half dollars. I don't collect them. They're nice to hand out to nieces and nephews at family events.
The teller checked the safe, came back and said they had 25 rolls. I asked for five. They looked like they had been hand rolled and were written on..... "1969", "1969", "1971", "1971+", and "NEW".
Two rolls are 1969 halves, one is all 1971, one is mixed (mostly bicentennials), and the last are 80s and 90s. I expected all newer coins. Are there any varieties I should look for (mostly on the 69's)? Thanks.

  • All the 69's are 40% silver, so keep them no matter what. They are worth more than face value even if you just melt them down.

EDIT: but then again you probably already knew that.

No significant varieties on the '69's. The '71-D has a couple of decent doubled dies on the motto, but they are not worth much.
