My daughter brought home a flyer from school last week for an effort called Operation Shoebox - New Jersey. They are collecting items to ship to our troops overseas. One of those items happens to be Gum and the first thing I thought of is the 192 pieces I got from cracking a case of Topps Heritage. Anyone else looking for something to do with their gum? This is the perfect opportunity. I am looking for donations for my daughter to bring to school. I'll take whatever you've got - 100, 500, 1,000 or 2,000. I am not looking to purchase it but I will pay for some of the shipping costs if need be.

How am I spamming the board with it??????? There are strings of posts on the subject of what to do with all of it. This is a response to those posts. If you don't want to contibute then that's fine. But I have a solution for all of those collectors that wondered what to do with it.

Great idea but I don't think the unwrapped gum will ever make it too the troops. Too risky. Why not hit BJ's or Costco or whatever and buy a nice big box of juicyfruit for the boys.
