NGC MS65 Wisconsin Leaf set just brought $504.99

Auction just closed at 8:17 pm:
$504.99 NGC MS65 WI extra leaf set

With shipping at $5.

I sold an MS65 NGC set for twice that amount ($999 + $30 shipping) about a week and a half ago:
$999 NGC MS65 WI extra leaf set

Is this just a lull before excitement picks back up again following the release of the 2006 Redbook and the lack of additional quantities being found in circulation (which I believe will be the case)? Has the price actually corrected to a more reasonable amount for these coins? Or are we seeing the beginning of a downward slide to a new, much lower value for these pieces?

  • I would say you got really lucky to get the price you did for the NGC MS65 set. Most of the NGC MS66 sets are selling in that price range. Noticed that your winning bidder picked up 3 other NGC sets including an MS67 set for $1,099.00. Can't figure out why he would pay the price he did for yours! image The last set he purchased was MS66 and he paid over $1200.00 for it. YIKES!!!

weiss, good for you on the sale.........but I just doubt that the prices will stay high...............when the prices drop to that of a 1995 DDO Lincoln is when i will find one.
