Feb 25-27: Lakeland, FL Collect-O-Rama, Forum Member Breakfast!

Hello all! This coming weekend is the Lakeland Collect-O-Rama at the Lakeland Center in downtown Lakeland! Show opens at 10am, and a $3 admission to the show. Rather large show, 125 tables usually, with about 25 tables being "other" collectibles and the rest being coins

Come join me for breakfast at Denny's at 8:30 on Saturday Morning! I'll be there at 8am to meet anyone who's a little early. The Denny's is right off of I-4. If you turn South, it's right on the right. If you need better directions let me know So far, Tumuss, Yousri, and Kryptonitecomics have commited to coming (And with Tumuss and Kryptonite there should be plenty of pretty coins to show )

<< <i>Only one week until the Lakeland, Florida "Collectorama Show"
to be held February 25-27, 2005 at the Lakeland Center. There
is a $3.00 (Good for the weekend) Admission Fee, but bring this
notice and get Free Admission. There is also Free Parking.
We expect 125-150 dealers of Coins, Currency and all kinds of
Neat Collectibles. The show also will issue a special Souvenir
Card that is available at $4.00 at the show. The United States
Post Office will also be on hand to hand-cancel the Souvenir
Card on the First Day of Issue for the cost of a .37 cent stamp.
There will be Hourly Door Prizes, and a special door prize at
2 p.m. on Sunday. Each youngster, 12 or under, gets a daily dip
into the Kid's Bucket for a Free Hand Full of Money. The Kid's
Bucket is kept full all weekend by generous dealers and collectors
who put all kinds of "numismatic goodies", and hobby collectibles.

The Lakeland Center is located at 701 W. Lime Street, just west of
downtown Lakeland. From I-4 take Route 98 South into Lakeland.
Route 98 will take a left, go straight on South Florida Avenue
until you get downtown. The Lakeland Center sits of a hill just
west of downtown.

The host hotel for Collectorama is the Baymont Inn (863-815-0606)
and they offer $64.00 per night rooms. The Baymont is locations
just off of I-4 at Exit 33 and is a nice clean and quiet motel.
Some of the dealers also stay at the Terrace Hotel which is just
about 5 or 6 blocks east of the show and is downtown and has an
excellant restaurant (4 star I believe). Rooms there generally
run in the $100.00 to 125.00 range.

Oh, and an older friend of mine from school will also be joining us He's a newbie, and is kinda into some of the crap stuff... but, he enjoys it, so I really can't fault him... suggested he get a Dansco Type Album to help him find the stuff he really likes... so anyone that has a Dansco Type Album, bring it with you to show

We could all bring a couple of coins to pass around the table, I don't know about everyone else, but I wouldn't mind warming up to some before the show .
