More ebay trash?

Received this from a friend.

Bill, (or whoever might actually receive this)

I found 2 more listings that just ended with the same
characteristics as all the others listed by "kwesly" ... and
the items are 1) 1909-S VDB LINCOLN CENT CHOICE VF Item
number: 3959469834 , and 2) 1955 Lincoln wheat penny, double
die obverse, MS63 Item number: 3959465899 .

Same exact payment terms, Same type of high end items using
stolen pictures, etc.

WHILE I REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE A PROCEDURE TO REPORT THESE
THINGS, BY THE TIME 10 DAYS GOES BY, THE CON ARTIST WILL
HAVE GOTTEN THE MONEY AND MOVED ON TO THE NEXT VICTIM ! !

The people listing these items are duped into thinking they
are doing this professionally for compensation for their
services not realizing that they are being used in a fraud.

The only reason I know what is going on is that I am
familiar with the method of operation.

I can't believe that Ebay is just prepared to allow its
members to suffer for this even if it is out of their own
ignorance. Three people can potentially get burned for
every one of these fraudulent transactions, namely: 1) the
listing agent (or seller of record), who thinks he is acting
as an agent for a 10% cut, 2) the paypal payment receiver
whose "job" it is to collect money and deposit these funds
in an account the fraudster has access to for a 15% cut, and
the buyer, who thought he bid on a real auction, but finds
out he has been victimized after he doesn't receive his
merchandise.

Some how, there is a disconnect, and noone at Ebay seems to
understand what I am describing. Easiest way is to call me
at (609)-280-8200, and I will explain it until you
understand.

I think my next communication needs to be an actual hard
copy letter to Meg Whitman herself delivered by certified
mail. Because, I don't think you are really "getting it."

I am really angry that this is being allowed to carry on
from Ebay's perspective. I think it would be appropriate
under the circumstances to send a broadcast email to all
Ebay users to let them know that this type of activity is
occuring, and is equally as dangerous as phishing and spoof
email.

With all due respect to your apparent "hands-off" rule, I
think Ebay needs to police this type of activity when it
reaches this level.

I could go on, but I hope you understand my point.

Best Regards,
Michael D. Tweed
