On average how many cases do you think are needed to put together a Base set with SP's?

I opened a case this week and am 15 sp's short of a full base set, with about 4 dupes. Got 33 of the refractors (about 1/3 of that set) 4 GU, no autos, and just about all of the non auto/game used subsets.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • I opened 10 boxes last week and I have two complete base sets, another one that is 6 cards short and another that is about 20 cards short, plus a bunch of extra commons.

I came 13 cards short of a complete SP/variation/insert set and I have about 40 chromes and 54 double SP/variation/insert cards. Oh, abd 9 special cards.

UPS delivered a box that was suppose to be two more Heritage cases today. However, when I opened it, there were four boxes of basketball chrome cards. A Mixup in shipping that's in the process of being rectified. Too bad they didn't send me four cases of Hertiage instead.

There are a lot of posts for 2005 Topps. It is hard to keep up if its not all centralized.
