Wow. You're right about the 62. It's amazing. Maybe it's the gloss, but it's so colorful and sharp.
  • WOW! I just couldn't imagine.................
Always interested in Hank Aaron items-currently buying Aaron OPC singles or lots-graded or raw.
  • Here's the 60 Aaron, if you're interested.

Looking for well centered 1958 topps baseball psa 8 and up. Also dying for a 70 Aaron All Star in PSA 9.
  • SDSportsFan: I've been looking ALL OVER for that card. I saw two on ebay the last 8 months. One was raw and creased and the other was on an uncut sheet.

Here's another early aaron "card"...a postcard, actually. Got it two months ago. Sorry for the bad scan.

    Spic and Span
  • Perhaps this one will work

Why didn't anyone include the scan of the 1955 Bowman PSA 9. It is a population three, and VERY VERY tough to find. In fact - all three PSA 9s are spoken for right now
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Cool scans guys! Incredible run of Aaron 9s. I'd also like to see the '55 Bowman. Here's a few more offgrade/raw Aaron's for people's enjoyment (and to further frustrate the guys with dial-up):

Unbelievable looking cards. I agree that the 62 is awesome.

Here's one. This is not Doug's, nor is it Davalillo's...

    Hey Marc,

How can that '55 Bowman possibly be a 9?image

With all the apparent marks around the edges (especially the bottom), it looks more like a 5 at best!

Amazing. If I sent that card in, it would be no higher than a 6. Look at the bottom left corner and the top right corner. Look at the bottom edge. 9????? image

Perhaps the most impressive baseball statistic of all time (at least to me):

If you take away all of Aaron's home runs, the man still has over 3000 hits.

David Hall did not have a PSA 9 Aaron card, he only ever had an 8. The scan you saw was a card graded in 2001.

Edge chipping is fairly normal on the issue. If you have a problem with that 9 - I could probably show you one hundred other nines from the set that have similar problems. I've never seen Doug's 1955 Bowman, so i cannot speak intelligently on that one, but I'm guessing that the scan you see is as good as the 9 that is in Davalillo's set.

I agree with Marc, 55 bowman is the kind of set where some small chipping its almost a guarantee even in super high grade.

similar to 62 topps, i am blown away with that PSA 9 Aaron.

in this particular case i would pay to have that card reviewed. I think it deserves GEM MINT.( if the back is ok)

    Wow! Nice stuff.

*there is also an oddball Aaron in a set called "1988 Houston Show Set". Mainly Astros and and odd mix of HOFers. Maybe 22 cards total.

    Loves me some shiny!
  • I dont have too many graded oddball aaron stuff...for whatever reason, ive decided to keep them raw.

    i love this card.

If anyone has a high grade milk duds aaron, post it!!...i would love to see that.

I really like that '55 Doubleheader! Here's a lower grade Milk Duds box (and again a few friends). The '69 Super is my favorite:

<< <i>that is also a very nice bazooka. who was on the rest of the panel?? >>

The Bazooka is a 1959. They weren't panels that year; just single cards. There are two variations on the Aaron--one with white letters in the name and one with yellow letters.

    murcerfan;
Very nice Lake to Lake Aaron. I've been looking for that set, but all I keep finding is the reprint set. image

Since there was some confusion about Bazooka Aarons, here's the whole kaboodle. Oddly, Aaron wasn't part of the 1961 Bazooka set (might have been the only set in the '60s that didn't include him):
