would it be worth more in an anacs holder????

Hello again...I love this board!!!I have a pcgs62 high relief 20 and have re submitted a couple of time back to pcgs and it always comes back 62 which is fine,i believe this coin to be very nice and wonder if anacs would grade it 63 would it be worth more in that slab.I also have a pcgs 63 high relief and they look almost identical.

My experience, though not with that particular coin, is that ANACS is just as or more conservative than PCGS and NGC.
  • I don't think it would. Leave it in the PCGS slab.

If all you're after is a big number, send it to SGS and they'll put a 70 on the slab.

    IOW, leave it as is.

IMO, give it a shot at NGC before ANACS. Their 63 might be worth more than a PCGS 62 if you're looking to sell (but maybe not?) In an anacs holder, people will wonder why and it may end up not being worth as much as your pcgs 62.

ANACS is very competent grading service. As for coin being worth more if in ANACS holder, no comment.image

With all the resubmissions to PCGS, you believe your coin is becoming worth less to you?image

  • ANACS is historically very conservative on grading gold. I wouldn't send it to them looking for a higher grade. If you try anything else you might try NGC.
