Why is this labled 1984 when it is a reprint

I have a few rookie buy backs some are stamped or crimped ( right word ?) and are labled 2001 2002 etc. Off hand wasnt this made around 1990's. Stating 1984 is wrong on psa's part. Not a big deal but I dont like it. link

  • Beckett Baseball Card Plus Jan./Feb. 2005 lists this set as:

    1994 Donruss Anniversary '84

Random inserts in series 1 hobby packs.

    Complete set (10) $60.00

Minor stars $2.00 semi stars $3.00

    Boggs not listed

I'm not sure but they may be '84's that were stamped and inserted.

Which I guess would make it an '84

    Hope that helps, Bob

  • I bought an 1983 DR rookie buy back , the card was made in 1983 and resides in a holder with a date of 2001. I am confused as why one card dated to teh manufactuer date and not another. And the cards that have to added card to my understanding were made in 1994. I am just confused . I am not beaitchin.......... James

Guessing that the person that submitted the card filled out the submission form wrong.
The data input person at PSA just copied the info from the form, so that's how the flip came out wrong.
