Drove out to the coin show, found a few items, it was rather slim pickings...
Nice speaking with fellow board member Refrema.....

I stopped at this bank in Truth or Consequences New Mexico and picked up several rolls of the new California State quarters and some half rolls which yeilded nothing.. You can see the HepKitty GT Cruiser Ragtop...

Here was were the coin show was:

And here is a toughie to find, a 58 Frankie in Cameo, coin has strong mirrors and just enough frost to get a Cameo designation...Coin fades into a lovely Black and White contrast, just how the Kitty likes them...

  • Hey Lucille !
Was the El Paso Coin Club Show worth the drive ? Was the bourse floor pretty active ? What was dealer comments like ? The reason I ask is because my company JMV Entertainment is putting on the "El Paso Coin and Currency Show" on Sunday May 29,2005 at the El Paso Hilton Inn-Airport. We also plan to do a Sunday show in El Paso in November.

Hope you will come to both shows cool kitty ! Maybe you can to Hep City (Austin,Tx -live music capital of the world) for our March 20,2005 Austin Coin and Currency Show.

Go to our website at www.jmventertainment.com for the lastest show schedule.

    The floor was very active......

I found the majority of the dealers to be very nice and kind, rather then grumpy ol grumps......

My complaint is that there was a lack of certified Classic Commems. (Though we picked up a nice Monroe)

A lady (I didn't get her name) whom was working the concession stand called me as I was nearby and she said, "Hello Lucy Hepkitty", and she gave me a soft drink. Very kind of her...

Another dealer kinded of shouted out, "Hello Lucy! How are you!" I looked and he wasn't looking at me, rather he was speaking to a lady that was confined to a wheel chair. image

And I listened to them speak and this lady seemed to be a very energized collector, must be something about the name, Lucy....

El Paso is a pretty good location, how many dealers are scheduled for your show?

  • Even though El Paso is one of the larger cities in Texas,we are starting small with our one day show with 25 tables.

Where is your base of operations ? How far will you go for a one day show? I have dealers for our shows in Dallas,San Antonio,Houston, etc. But I trying to build up a dealer base in far west Texas and New Mexico for future shows.

Even though my company is currently based in the Central Texas city of Temple,Texas. I am originally from the boom town area known as...Alamogordo,New Mexico
