I prolly oughtta break down myself, and do somethin' like that one of these days.

Before I get Coincraft, though, I wanna get the Seaby/Spink Scottish/Irish book. I have the Brit book.

That's a good price for the CoinCraft book! It's a very good read - you'll enjoy it I'm sure.

And LordM - I've got the Scot/Irish book if you're interested - just click on the Books link in my sig.

    Cheers

Andy- I ain't really active in that stuff right now but have wanted the book for a while. I can't quite justify buying a new one right now, even if I probably should. I would be in the market for a slightly older (read: cheaper) copy, though.

Or if I do break down and buy a new one later, now I know who to buy it from! image

Fair enough. I'll be happy to keep a look out for a second hand copy at fairs, etc... If I find one, I'll let you know.

I've heard they aren't printing this book anymore. I dunno. I wanted more for the numismatic info contained within.

I first obtained my copies of Peck and Freeman some time ago, then, Cope & Rayner, Rayner's ESC, and Mr. Davies book....now, I need to sell some of these Lightside books!! image

I have heard that too, MacCrimmon. It's a shame as it's a good book. image

Coincraft is a great book, you'll enjoy it very much Mac. I have also heard that the 2000 edition will be the last one, which is a shame because it contains such a wealth of information.

I hope someone buys the rights to the Coincraft book and updates it. It's my favorite reference.

it is a great reference. I have the 1999 and I will look for the 2000 even though it is old, it may contain additional varieties.
