Ignorant Heritage question

I spent some looking through the Heritage threads and not knowing anything about the set (except they are based on the 1956 design), I see that there are vintage players in the set. I thought it was all modern players made to look like 56s. So how many vintage players are there in the set?

Steve I do not collect Heritage but from what I have read the vintage guys are players like Banks, Fr. Robby etc.

They are <hope I am right> included as relic cards. From what I have also read I have heard that their are a few or more. Hope that helps.

In any event maybe a collector of this stuff will answer you.

    Hi Steve and Buc
you were just about there - the regular set of 475 which includes short prints (SP's) are all current players.
The vintage players are in the different subsets/insert cards.

topps also parallels the players of today with those of 1956. Compare the card #'s and also check out the then and now
    subset!

The T&N subset is really cool and makes a comparison that is relative to their skills.

    Aaron and Ichiro?

I would have thought Aaron and Bonds? or Aaron and Sosa.

    Hi Steve
In this case they're not talking HR's but rather 200 hit seasons and how Ichiro in leading actually killed Aaron's 200 in 1956. The comparison is not necessarily equating the players either - it may show how one person eclipsed another's accomplishments in the same category.

There are a lot of posts for 2005 Topps. It is hard to keep up if its not all centralized.
