Fake holder with Wagner on the bay.

fake card

this idiot, broke out a card out of its holder, typed up a fake label with all the right info and now its trying to pawn off this crap on ebay.

I hope PSA takes action and sues the living bejesus out of this punk.

I have no idea how PSA could stop this crap, the holder is obviously cracked and thats good news, and the hologram its wrong as well, but i wish the could take it a step farther and maybe add some extra securities to the front of the label as well, metal strips like in the US bills or color fading like in checks.

this could happen to any grading company, so maybe they should all take extra steps. while this is scam its pretty easy to spot, others criminals might make it even harder to distinguish and might really screw someone out there.

the front its all wrong, notice how the T is taller than the numbers and the letters are too square.

the holder is also extremetly cloudy, thats really good!, but still with a white background it makes it harder to spot

the back its a mess, maybe he cut it out from another label, or maybe he just faked it, but it doesnt look right anyways

  • I am real suprised PSA hasn't pulled this one yet.... and if they don't we ALL know we then have a problem. Considering they usually jump and overkill anything that is remotely out of bounds and this plugs on...

its not a wigwag job, its too obvious.

I dont think this seller gets off the hook by stating that the card is a reprint.

what happens when someone else gets screwed along the line?

  • What's worse is the hi bidder. Why would someone pay $400.00+ for a beat up reprint? Maybe to rip off someone else? image

  • but the label looks like any other label on PSA cards that I've seen, and the case does too. The case has a few scuffs on the edges. SO, even though the card looks authentic and legit I am in no way implying or stating it is. Also, even though it is a PSA label, and holder stating T206 Honus Wagner, I am in no way implying or stating that the holder and label were made for the specific card that is currently resting in it. There are no returns on this item. No refunds. All sales will be final.

Not only did he do his homework, but he covered his ass. I smell scam all the way here in Kansas!

    Chris,

If you look at the left side of the holder it appears frosted. That's where the case was cracked. Also, the label is the wrong font. It was a nice try but not even close.

I wonder if that label was generated by the same guy who gave Dan Rather the documents regarding George Bush's National Guard record? image

The holder has clearly been tampered with (entire left side is frosted) and it's obvious with the disclaimers that this person knows it's not a real Wagner nor has this card been graded by PSA. This is clearly unethical and it's probably illegal. If there isn't a law against this there should be since someone could get burned on this down the road.
  • Seller ended item early , Because item is no longer available for sale. LOL

  • I just pickup a copy, Feb 2005, and the correct card is on the back of Sports Market report. It sold from Sportscards Plus for $92,255. The guy is a fraud
