Changed my mind, This card needs a good washing!

I went to the card shop today to pick up some 50 ct plastic cases. I also was planning on picking up a box of heritage because I was feeling lucky and that I was going to pull a Cut Auto 1/1. Well, I get there and they don't have a single box of Heritage! They didn't even have crap for boxes of cards either. The owner had went to Vegas for a week and hadn't ordered anything new recently due to the trip. This was a major disappointment, especially seeing I was going to pull my first 1/1 cut auto. So after around a half hour of just gazing at the minimal selection and feeling the need to bust something, I decided to waste my money on a box of Leaf Certified Materials Football. I had a couple decent pulls in the past from this product and some major let downs. Best pulls were Marshall Faulk /5 and a Tom Brady /25 everything else was common garbage. I wasn't expecting much and figured I would pull crap seeing my mind was totally set on Topps Heritage and that is exactly what I did, I pulled this garbage. I mean, this is something only a freak like DaBeef or RandyMoss84 could love. image

  • I should file a complaint against Donruss for calling a "Tag" a "Jersey"

At least you know that you shouldn't be washing the card in hot water.image
  • Maybe you're right xbaggypants instead of the bonfire, I should follow the directions posted on the card and machine wash it in cold water and remember not to use bleach and after I am done with that, then I can send it back to Donruss asking for a replacement card due to false advertising causing damage to my card.

Seriously, I think you should contact one of the hobby mags and show them the card. I think it would make a great article. In television, when a TV program has pasted it's prime and airs a show that absolutely defines it's decline, it's called "jumping the shark" and signals the show's demise. Donruss has definitely "jumped the shark" with this card. Hopefully, this will signal an end to all these idiotic jersey cards that's coming out of the woodwork these days. The thrill has long worn off.
  • At least the other one of ones I have seen were jersey/patch pieces. Reebok logo, nfl logo, etc and not some freaking tag instructing me how to do laundry. You are totally right, it is a sad day when the card companies are scraping the bottom to dig up and use every little piece they can find.
  • Maybe it has the ultra rare "inpected by #76" sticker on the other side of the wash instructions?

Again, modern gives me a good laugh. That is a great card.

Is that a Game-Used Laundering Instructions Tag? Never seen that before!

I think Donruss is having their people go search all the other company's garbage for tossed Jersey pieces!

Thats what some thought when Pacific had the Manny Ramirez corked bat card.

Hey Randy, your tag is showing ! Tuck that back inside !

Ah, those are the new "post game washed" jerseys I've been hearing about. Some game used jerseys are just too stinky and smelly to use
for sports cards. This is a copy of the ultra rare "post game washed instrructions" card. Limited to one per stinky player.
