Gothic Florin Question

I have a gothic florin in my collection that I am looking to upgrade, it is so worn that the date cannot be read. I have seen some members here post some beautiful florins but I just don't know enough about them to feel comfortable purchasing one. I am looking for an AU to BU coin.

Can anyone give me around what a fair price range is in $US. I have seen a few on ebay but I think with overseas shipping and the weak dollar I would be overpaying. I will probably wait until the next coin show comes to my area and see what they have there. Otherwise I will probably jump back into ebay.

Any other info anyone can provide would be appreciated.

Hope this helps. Registration/online ordering is very simple but I am always on hand - just PM me!

  • Gothic Florins are purty, you can tell from me Icon, There are a dozen or more varieties, some dates are rarer than others.
For a middle of the road EF grade (nearer to AU/UNC by US grading standards) expect to pay £100 to £200 or more.

My Icon cost me $325.00 >>>> image

Dang, that's a purdy one, Glenn.

Did you buy that in Orlando at 2004 FUN, by any chance? I seem to recall you showing off some lovely bauble you'd picked up.
