This is a neat group of animal proof coins from Tanzania. All are dated 1998 and denominated as 500 Shilingi. Each coin is a hair over 1oz. of silver. Lot includes Leopard (KM48), Cheetah (KM49), Hyena (KM50), Crocodile (KM51), Zebra (KM -) and Impala (KM -). All are choice cameo proof in original plastic capsules (save for Cheetah which has some light fingerprinting and hairlines).
We're changing this up a bit. Now the coins are being sold as singles. LION IS SOLD!

Some nice looking additions. Thought you'd like to know that this one (BRITISH GUIANA George III, struck during Victoria's reign Guyana 1838--#WC10879) is also considered to be linked to Nova Scotia. It is catalogued by Charlton in "Canadian Colonial Tokens" as NS22.

Thanks for the info, Gene. We were not aware of that connection. Charlton seems to think it was imported by collectors, but that die match to the other token is rather interesting.
