Question about VAM on 1883-CC Morgan

I was looking at an 83-CC Morgan and I noticed a die crack on a few different place on the reverse in the lettering and was curious if this is a known VAM. And if so which one.

It seems to be the most prominent across from the T to the S in STATES. I also noticed it on between the O and the F of OF and between the T and the E of UNITED (I didn't post a picture of this one). On the OBV it looked very lightly across the top of PLURIBUS (I didn't post a picture of this one).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I don't know. I'm not a VAM guy, but it looks like only a small die crack and not a VAM.

I checked the vams for this date and all the ones I found have doubling on the date and mm. Look closely in those two areas.

  • That makes sense. I was unclear about the definition of the VAM's, which is what prompted the question. I will double check the date and mm, but I don’t remember anything different about them. Thanks for the info image
