US-Philippines coin dealers?

I think someday I may need to include US-Philippines coins in my type set.

Any dealer suggestions? online with pics and prices would be killer

Or just post a pic of your philippine to convince me image

I have just this one, and it ended up being a freebie from a fellow board member.

I was searching his website, and followed a link to a Yahoo Auction. I bid on this coin, and won it for 50 cents. Alan (islemangu)
decided to send it to me at his cost, what a swell guy! Nice looking coin too!

nederveit - I like the toning on your 50 Centavo! It's a very pretty coin and what a deal. Here's a picture my 1945-S 50 Centavo:

In my opinion, the person to go to is Jon at http://www.philippinecoins.com/
  • Cool-a Beethoven's Ninth signature line!! Jon gets a great vote here as well!

  • Go to the Navigation window above and click on the World and Ancient coin forum and post the same question - we have quite a few members who collect US Philippines (including me) over there. I'm sure you will see some nice photos, if not, I will take some shots and post them for you to see.

    Welcome,

  • Thanks for the link to Jon at http://www.philippinecoins.com/, looks like some interesting reading material too.

This is gonna be an easy set to put together if everything is <$1 image

USAROK - I just looked at your commem type set, first, nice collection, second, I don't see a 1936 Murphy-Quezon Peso - any plans for that? Sounds like it's a much ignored classic commemorative.

I thought about the World/Ancient forum right after I posted, as I suppose the majority of collectors of these are world coin collectors (or maybe specifically philippines collectors?), but also it's interesting to know other US collectors with these.

Wekar - I recently purchased a 1936 Murphy-Quezon Peso in an NGC MS64 holder. It should be here in a week or two. I'm also planning to get the 1936 Roosevelt-Quezon Peso and the 1936 Murphy-Quezon 50 Centavo.

As others have said, www.philippinecoins.com is an excellent source of USA-Philippines coins!
