$5 gold purchase AG03 - this is cool!

This is the first gold coin I've purchased and it's a beauty! PCGS AG03. I purchased on Ebay from forum member Colorfulcoins. Thanks Craig!

    LOTS of character.

Too bad it doesn't also have a hole at the top. image

Wow! That gold AG looks a whole lot better than that silver AG.

Nice, Casey. If that $5 gold piece could talk....what a story it could tell (some parts could even be X-rated!).

    Too cool, man....

Well, the ladies did have to store the coins someplace where they'd be hard to steal. imageimage

Still, nice coin. Then again, basically any gold coin looks good to me. Got to love that dense, yellow, untarnished metal.

    Nice coin.

I really like it! Too often everyone is concerned with pop tops, registries, etc., etc. It's nice to see a coin with some character.

With that coin I would sit back & ponder it's "life". I'd be thinking about where it was minted, the old bank it was probably first sent into
circulation from, the seedy saloons & brothels it was spent in, etc. And besides being transported by walking, it must have spent some
time on horseback or stage coaches, and then America's first automobiles. That coin's circulated condition tells that it certainly did have
a life & did not spend all it's time in a collection! Very enjoyable to see!!
