Got my first Cherrypickers guide find - 1943S DDO 25c

1943S DDO. I know, BFD, right? Well it's my first Cherrypickers find and I was excited so I thought I'd share it. Bad news is it has visible single hairline scratch across the reverse, hence the net grade. I sent it to ANACS because of the scratch and the fact that they put FS# attributions on the holder. I found it in a mostly populated quarter album I bought on eBay months ago for less than the value of this coin alone. Sometimes luck happens!

Isn't that a great feeling? image My first couple of cherrypicks were blind luck, too, stuff I didn't see when I bought them, but found going through the coins later. It's only a tiny step up from there to looking for varieties all the time. Your next cherrypick will be on purpose and then you'll be hooked.

    Congrats again on the find,

Here's a pic of the coin before it was slabbed. The doubling is pretty obvious at this size.

    Great snag! image

Too bad it is scratched - still a nice coin.
