When will the ANA conventions return to the New York area?

I took a look at the web site, and it looks like neither ANA convention will be coming to the New York area any time soon (they just had dates through 2007, though). As an East-coaster who considers NYC to be the center of the universe, why are the conventions not scheduled there more often (I think the last was was 2002?).

Because all you East-coasters act like you are at the center of the universe. (Couldn't resist)
with all that said, having had an ANA show in NYC a few years ago you have nothing to whine about.

Though, I should be making it to the other side for the San Fran ANA Splitting a room with a friend cut the cost in half, and makes it much more reasonable

Looking at how Pittsburgh got the ANA last year, it seemed to be critical to have a well-established club campaigning for it, and who will do a lot of the local legwork.
