Something happening to this card

HI, I bought a box of 2000 Bowman Chrome Football about 5 months ago. I opened the packs and put the cards in penny sleeves and toploaders right away. I dont know whats happening but all the cards are developing pits on the surface. I know they were not like this when I installed them but now they are all ruined. The penny sleeves and toploaders are new supplies so I assumed they are safe. Are the penny sleeves eating these up? Any help is appreciated.

  • I had some like that too, they probably had the pits while they were in the packs.

Don't leave your cards under the sink anymore and they won't rust and pitt lol. j/k sorry your cards got messed up, hope there wasn't a Brady in there.

I had some EX 99-00 Cards that started peeling off the stock.

Nope no Brady. That one is safe, already slabbed. I like the acid rain crack, that was a good one. As far as humidity, I do live in Florida but my cards are stored in my closet so they are dry and a.c.'d. My only guess is the penny sleeves because they look funky, almost clowdy when I puuled the cards out. Never saw this type of weirdness before.

I just pulled out some of my 99 UD Ionix BB reciprocals that I had put in penny sleeves and top loaders when I pulled em from the pack. The cards are machine numbered on the front, but now the numbers are getting blurry. So, I think the penny sleeves had something to do with it. I was going to send them in since I had the set added to the registry. Oh well, I'll have to replace them.
