I'd like to get into that but I want to finish my U.S. Type set first.

So I guess it'll be a decade or two before I get started on Cali Gold. image

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

wayneme: California Fractionals are very addicting! Love that stuff.

Hope to get Bruce Scher into these after he sells his 3 cent nickels.

At least he is into the right sized stuff!

The Californians honored George Washington on their 25 cent gold piece (1/4 dollar) exactly 60 years before the rest of our country did!

Nice Washington head Oreville, very nice.....I have the token....Same obverse die (just a little bit of a different coin).....
I pick up a piece now and then when it bites me. Usually an octagon dollar.....I can recommend it highly, and yes, it's addicting !

Sorry about the crappy image. I sold this coin before I purchased my SLR.

IMO, the Kellogg is one of the most beautiful Calif Territorial gold issues ever made. I won this coin in auction at Heritage for around $5400. I sold it through Heritage 6 months later for around $6400. It's one of the few coins that I have ever seen appreciate in value that much in such a short time.

This coin graded NGC au58. Someday I'd like to get an 1855 in MS.
