Nikon 5400 Schlag Nickel pics .... comments ?

Still experimenting with setups, lighting.....etc....
using 3 / 60watt reveal bulbs, evenly spaced around the object.

    I have #601 & #820. I can see how these would be difficult to photograph.

    I have two sets of those. I really like them. Your shot is good but the holder looks blue. Are you wearing a blue shirt?

    image It does have a blue tint to it in the post image

    Nope, no blue shirt. Wierd ?
    I'll have to re-take some shots and see if it looks blue again.

    That is an excellent image. Don't know what you did, but it is a very big improvement over the first one.

    These were being sold by the Jefferson Full Step Nickel Club - 1938 pcs struck in proof and matte finish. Typically sold in pairs for around $75 if I remember right. Popular coin to buy and resell at a big profit on Ebay. I don't remember the sellers name offhand, but he was the president of the JFSNC. About a year ago, they were selling pairs in the 900-1000 range so I suspect there are still some available at the regular issue price.

    Neat coins. If you are interested, PM me and I'll look up the sellers name for you.
