Bust of Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, and Barney Frank with the motto, "No voters with a spine allowed".


Or one with Ted Kennedy, a Volkswagon and a bridge with a broken railing with the motto, "If Ted had driven a Volkswagon, he'd have been President".

Yep they are funny.

The sad thing is some nice designs for the real state quarters were rejected and the ugly one bacme the state quarter. Look at Florida's quarter. That one is so dull and ugly. There were some beautiful designs like a nice Florida beach at sunset, but were passed over.

Naww ... probably be more appropriate for Kansas to have a Wizard of Oz motif ... with Dorothy & Toto.

Tho' I would suspect there are those who would have liked to have the red headed fightin' blue chicken on the reverse ... not that a purple gorilla would've been any better.

for a laugh, you need only look at the real quarter from my homestate -- truly designed by a committee, and truly intended to pacify political groups!

Nah...by far the worse is the state (I forget which one) that pretty much only has its outline on the reverse. Pretty dumb design. I think what happened is the committee figured out they had about two hours left to submit to the deadline and they lost all the better designs, like the ones from the elementary schools, and someone drew an outline of the state and submitted that.
