KARL GOETZ, SELF PORTRAIT, 1935, Cast AE, 116.1mm, Wt. 487.25g, Edge incuse ‘KgoeTz’, RR, VZ/UNC.
To commemorate his 60th Birthday, 1875-1935. Obverse has Karl Goetz bust left and inscribed ‘Medailleur Karl Goetz’. Reverse depicts Goetz’s stations in life with a nude male holding the symbol of the City of Augsburg, Goetz’s birthplace, the pine cone (Zirbelnuss) on his shoulder. Inscription on the reverse, ”To my esteemed friends and patrons.”

"Could very well serve as your Goetz Collection center piece." Yes, I think the obverse will be the primary image on my Home page...I can use it like Kienast did for the books. BTW, My ownership of the two copyrights for the books was finalized in November...
