I’ve inherited a coin that was graded pr64 and its an 1858 J-212 type P1c Indian penny. I am trying to figure out its worth and possible how to sell it. It is not the only coin in my collection just the most elusive. I can’t find information on it anywhere. It has the standard 1858 face on it on the obverse, but on the reverse it has a Reith and shield, more seemingly common to a 1859 I believe. And that eludes me. So I figured to join this message board and maybe get some help on identification.
Thanks Dave

That pattern coin in that grade (if graded PR 64 by PCGS or NGC, at least) is worth approximately $1500, based upon recent auction prices realized. It is fairly common as patterns go and has a fairly well defined/narrow price/value range.
