Question about Omnicoin

Does this bother anyone?

"13. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

  • In other words, 'we may use any of your pictures any way we please'?

    Exactly.

  • Anyone not wanting to register with omnicoin can leave their pictures with me and i'll enter them onto my omnicoin page (with the correct owner listed).

Anyone still wishing not to have their pictures on omnicoin, if you were thinking of entering British coins i will accept coins from other servers so long as they have one url code for both pics and that the server they are on keeps the pictures indefinately. No good having the pictures vanish and turn into red X's half way through (it's happened). Coinpeople also provides each member there with an album in which to leave pictures and this was the old way of storing pics, and i'll continue to accept that method as well.

As i run the British competition i will accept pictures of your Brit coins from pretty much anywhere.

However, for the general PCI competition the guy running that wants to keep things coming from omnicoin simply because it keeps things fair all coming from one site as they're all the same size.

Doesn't address the issue, you still lose rights to the images.

You retain the rights. You also grant OmniCoin rights to use your images.
If you feel that this clause is unreasonabe, I will consider any changes you may suggest.

    Thanks,

    Simple, remove the clause.

  • There has to be a clause stating that you grant me the rights to display the images.
I would be stealing your images otherwise. Sorry, can't do that, Steve. image

Funny we didn't have to agree to anything of like or resembling that statement to post pictures on this forum.

  • This forum's agreement was not customized for an image hosting website. It looks like a standard agreement that came with the software; some of the fields were not even filled in...

In any case, I assure you that I don't plan to abuse any rights you grant me when uploading images to OmniCoin.

I assure you that I won't be giving you the chance.

  • Yikes. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out.

If anyone else has any suggestions regarding the rights clause, I'd like to hear from you.

Not any more. I've deleted all my photos from the site, and then deleted the bookmark to it.

    Thanks for the heads-up Steve.image
