Would the Morgan series become more or less popular if ALL dates/mint marks are common?

I would say, more with the average (yeah, define average) collectors, but less with the rich/super rich ones.
What do you think?

If this were the case, I would collect Morgans. I imagine other people would too, so, to answer your question, yes Morgans would be more popular if they were all common.

    More popular definitely.

I think it would be more appealing to some, but less appealing to others.

It's no surprise that Morgans make up half of the entire hobby/market. They are large, silver, have a great design, are readily available in Mint state (mostly), and lend themselves to a variety of collecting interests - complete set, date set, CC set, VAMs, DMPLs, GSAs, etc. Could they even be more popular? image

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
