A couple more coin questions

I am going to a local coin sale soon and have a couple of questions. What is a 1889 High 9
Morgan $? Is it a common collectible variety? It is not listed in the Coin World Trends. Also
what is the difference between a 1942-p Type 1 and Type 2 nickel? Any pictures would be
appreciated. Thanks for any help you can provide.imageimage

    A 1942 Type 1 nickel is nickel.

    A 1942Type 2 nickel is(I think)45% silver.

    NUMO
  • The Type 2 nickel composition is 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese, and has a large mint mark on the reverse above Monticello. image
  • Thanks for the answers on 42 Type 2, I figured it out after I asked the question.
I still have not come up with anything on the 1889 High 9 Morgan. Can anybody fill me in?image
