The difference in color between uncirculated Canadian Georgius VI copper


There is the color of Uncirculated 1937-1942 Canadian copper small cents.Then there is the color of uncirculated 1943-1946 copper small cents.Does anyone know if there was a change in the alloy mixture ?

    Did they utilize shell casings as the U.S. did in 44/45?

    I don't know for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me as there were some metal shortages and they may have had to switch to a different source for their coinage.
