I"ve tried to find it in Krause to no avail yet, and was just looking for a point in the right direction.

I've gotten several of those in my world coin lots, but bagged them for "look later" I was thinking Thailand, Nepal. Nice to know I was within a thousand miles anyway.

As phut said, it's from Tibet. I believe it to be a modern restrike. It's way too nice to be an original coin. There are severel types of restrikes around, some of them even in proof. Some are scarce but I do not know if that includes this one.

That's the most pristine Tibetan coin I've ever seen. I'd agree it's likely a restrike.
