Congrats on your buy. I upgraded from PSA 8 to 9 a few months ago myself. Still hoping Tram gets into the HOF too, making a truly unique rookie card. Nobody else I can think of on the multi-player rookie cards in the '60s and '70s has a chance in hell.

jrdolan ...Great point. My father grew up in Michigan as a life long tiger fan. He believes Trammel ia a HOF. Of course he thinks Whitaker is too! image

As an unbiased (read: not a Tiger fan) I firmly believe that Trammell and Whitaker both deserve strong, strong consideration for the Hall. That Whitaker dropped off the ballot after one year is a travesty. I think they're both hurt by the huge numbers being put up by today's middle infielders.

Sure Tram will get in. Any hope for Mickey Klutts? (With a name like that, he probably wasn't a slick fielder)

Up above, I meant anyone else from a multi card with a HOFer already on it. Oops.

Sadly, I don't think Trammell will get in. He was too closely tied to Sweet Lou; you couldn't mention one without the other. I think they should go in as a combo, but that will never happen. I was upset when Whitaker was hardly given any consideration, but I feel the same way about Dawson, Gossage, Maris, and Dave Stewart (talk about a guy you didn't want to face in the early-late 1980s). We're getting to the point where pitchers need to break records or play for over 20 years, and hitters need to load up on HRs and RBIs. For example, 15 years ago, Barry Larkin gets in; now, no way. The game has changed and unfortunately the voters are changing with it.

ps- Anybody remember the Magnum P.I. where Trammell and Whitaker meet Magnum in a bar and give him tickets to a game? Classic.
