Here's a link to the original auction pictures.
And here are the two nicest coins.....BUT, they have obvious PVC residue. What can I do, if anything to clean them..eeerr, I mean conserve them?

It looks like you got a great deal on the coins, PVC or not. Soaking the coins in acetone or pure rubbing alcohol for a while will not hurt them and should get the PVC residue off. I sometimes use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to help remove it, but you have to be very gentle.
  • A few soaks and rinses will do the job!
  • Nice coins!

Try to find the purest acetone you can get. Not your wife's nail polish remover.
Once you've rinsed the coin, throw out the dirty wash and start fresh for the
    next coin.

I'd love to see them after they've had their bath image

I did try a brief dip in acetone, I'll try the overnight dip this week and see what happens.
